Sales Executive- 4 Star Hotel

Our client is a busy 150 bedroom hotel in Buckinghamshire

As Sales Executive you will be required to bring new clients to the hotel for meetings and events and corporate business, whilst maximising the potential of existing clients, in order to stimulate enquiries to the hotel and secure business.

Key Responsibilities:

* To develop target list of new potential accounts and undertake tele-sales and other prospecting activity to realise potential revenues.
* To undertake sales calls and presentations to corporate and agents to develop and grow relationships and maximize bedroom, meeting room & food and beverage revenue.
* To undertake face-to-face sales calls and achieve monthly sales call targets.
* To account manage existing client portfolio when required.
* To undertake sales trips, attend tradeshow and industry events as required
* Entertain existing and prospective clients in line with company entertainment policy and budget and host Fam trips as required
* Maximise booking conversion opportunities by deploying effective sales and negotiation techniques, including face-to-face sales calls, site inspections and creative sales processes.
* Ensure contracts are issued and signed in accordance with agreed procedures, changes receive the appropriate authorisation and deposits are collected as required.
* To ensure compliance with group RFP tools and ensure all information on these sites are frequently updated and accurate.

Desired Experience/ Behavioural Factors:

* 2- 3 years all round experience in the travel/hospitality industry ideally within the London market
* A good understanding of the sales cycle with at least 1 years direct experience of selling to corporate and agents including meeting and events sales
* Sales/Account management and business development skills
* Good negotiation skills and the ability to understand client and deliver requirements.
* Well presented with a professional manner, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a good command of written and spoken English
* Excellent administrative skills, previous use of Opera / Events 500 / Serenata an advantage
* Flexible in working hours with the ability to work under pressure
